We just deployed ZCM in a brand new, small, test environment with 10.1.3.
1 Core server, 3 satellite servers, and about 30 workstations.

The Core server, one satellite server, and one workstation succeeded in patching to 10.2 via System Update. The rest failed miserably.

Manually removing the agent, and reinstalling seems to work fine. But my desktop administrators will not be happy about doing that on a large scale.
Any thoughts or solutions would be welcome, thanks.

Here were the symptoms on the workstations (not sure if the satellite servers were the same):

System Update Overview reports Error status.

Status Details: An unknown error has occurred during the deployment. Check the system-update.log on the device for details.

system-update.log is never created on the workstation, in fact the only thing that is created is the folder where that and other logs would go (Novell\ZENWorks\logs\427b1afe45a1b7e8991f50231f0e 7c82). There are no event log entries that provide any insight.

Any system that failed to update now constantly throws this error until manually updated:
Device Alias: red-315-03
Device IP Address:
Error: [6/5/09 2:54:19 PM] BundleManager BUNDLE.UnknownExceptionOccurred An Unknown exception occurred trying to process task: Novell.Zenworks.AppModule.LaunchException: Exception of type 'Novell.Zenworks.AppModule.LaunchException' was thrown.
at Novell.Zenworks.AppModule.AppActionItem.ProcessAct ion(APP_ACTION launchType, ActionContext context, ActionSetResult previousResults)

I updated 5 days ago and have over 2000 alert e-mails like this from all of the non-updated workstations.
