Hi

I am trying to update some old OES1 boxes in preparation for migration.

'rug pl oes' is showing a couple of hundred patches(!), but whenever I try and
'rug pin --entire-channel oes' it starts, then fails
The console shows:
>>
100% ##########, 10m20s elapsed, 0s remain ERROR: Unable to connect to the daemon: (104, 'Connection reset by peer')
ERROR: Please ensure that the service is running.

<<
I believe this is when it is trying to add the patches, as the actual files are in the cache due to previous (longer!) attempts...

/var/log/rcd/rcd-messages shows:

>>
Jun 23 12:10:07 [27804] Downloaded package does not appear to be a valid package

** (process:27804): CRITICAL **: file you-util.c: line 411 (write_you_file): assertion `dest_dir != NULL' failed

and the the rcd service is crashing - which is probably why it's 'Unable to connect to the daemon'

Is there a way to find which patch is actually doing this? Are there certain patches that need installing first?

The last patch in rcd-package-history is

Any suggestions?!?
