We are running BorderManager 3.6 Enterprise Edition (old version, I
know!). The server is doing Packet Filtering, Proxy, NAT, DNS Forwarding
and Static Routing. We are carrying out chages to the topology of our
network and using some new firewalls. For a temporary period we wish to
maintain this BorderManager box with the same private interface IP
address but just use it as a proxy server which doesn't have direct
access out to he internet but routes out to a new firewall before hitting
the internet. My question is whether this BM box can act just as a proxy
and, if so, how should we change the config? One idea was that we would
change the default route on the BM server to point to the new firewall
and disable the public interface. Would this work and still allow the
proxy to function correctly?

Any help greatly appreciated.
