it seems one of the main disadvantages of ZCM is that it is not clusterable in NCS. The response I got from a Novell partner is that this is not really an issue since one can install ZCM on every node on the cluster. Only the database needs to be shared.

We only need Dynamic Local User policy in ZCM. My questions are these:

- suppose the database goes down can users still log in on Windows? Or does this require an active database?

- if the embedded Sybase database is necessary for this and thus represents a single point of failure, would it be possible to move the data to a clustered NSS volume and change the Sybase configfiles to point to this location? In this way it still would be possible to have a clustered and highly available database ...
