Problem - we are required to use a secure FTP client from Sterling Commerce
for an outside connection to pull files down from an FTP server. It works
on my workstation at home but not one the network I need it to work on,
which currently has a BM 3.6 server.

Filters up or down makes no difference so I figured I'd post it here.

Symptom as follows:

* Begin FTP session *
ceftp>passive
Passive mode on.
ceftp>open <ftp_server_name> 221
220 Welcome to the <ftp_server_name>. Authorized use only. Access is mo
nitored. Time = 17:25:38
SSL Enabled.
Name: <user_name>
331 Password required for cwvu1001.
Password:
230 Connect:Enterprise UNIX login ok, access restrictions apply.
ceftp-s>cd /<another_folder> &&& required to get to the files we
need
250 CWD command successful.
ceftp-s>dir
227 Entering Passive Mode (160,254,119,218,253,227)
Connection timed out: connect
ceftp-s>

* End FTP session *

On my machine at home, the only thing different is the string of number
after 227 Entering Passive Mode, which reads:

227 Entering Passive Mode (160,254,119,218,130,70)

instead and then the directory listing shows up just fine.

Many thanks in advance for any suggestions as to how to troubleshoot and
hopefully fix this. The only thing I can see different between the two
workstations being used is that the problem machine is actually running a
newer version of Java - I believe it's 1.5 versus 1.3.
