I've been running agents in protected memory for years - mostly without issue. I'm getting ready to upgrade from GroupWise 7 to version 8 and read an excellent arctile on how to perform this by Gregg Hinchmann.

Consultant's Corner: Upgrading to GroupWise 8 - Part 2: Domains | Novell User Communities

In the arctile he states that if using protected memory you should only unload your agents using:

unload address space=SPACENAME

So my question(s)

1. Does this mean that we should unload the address spaces BEFORE shutting down the server? In the past I would just type 'down' and let the server shutdown process handle it.

2. We should not simply hit F7 to stop the agents?
