Issue seems identical to "Random 403 forbidden using mozilla firefox -
TID10096172"

Hi

We've installed two similar BM servers in two seperate trees, but both
are experiencing the same issues.
Users are experiencing random 403 errors. This happens in Netscape
(7.2) & Firefox - IE isn't heavily used enough to test with, but I'd
guess (?) the same result.

>From a log file extract:

194.82.135.xxx - - [16/May/2006:12:53:14 +0100] "GET
http://www.google.co.uk/ HTTP/1.1" 403 2098
194.82.135.xxx - userA.Test.IBO [16/May/2006:12:53:17 +0100] "GET
http://www.google.co.uk/ HTTP/1.1" 200 3576
194.82.135.xxx - userA.Test.IBO [16/May/2006:12:53:17 +0100] "GET
http://www.google.co.uk/intl/en_uk/images/logo.gif HTTP/1.1" 200 8920

it seems that the request is reaching the BM server with no user
information, so it's (rightly) denying the request. If the user hits
reload, the request comes through again, this time with the user
details enclosed, so the request goes through.

This issue stays exactly the same with Linkwall running or not.

As above, the problem appears to exactly fit TID 10096172, which
acknowledges problems with BM 3.7 and 3.8.
However, the fix to that TID is:
"Fixed in BM38SP3.EXE"

Does this mean 3.7 users are out of luck? I haven't tried installing a
3.8 service pack on a 3.7 server, but something tells me this is
unlikely to be pretty... :)

Does anyone know which part of the service pack fixed this? Or any
other ideas?

Thanks for your assistance,
