We are having an issue registering machines in the zone with the ZCM 10.2 client. When we run the command zac register https://172.22.16.6 -U isreg -P xxxxx, we get a certificate warning that the url does not match the certificate subject. When we run the command zac register https://zen2.kellogg.cc.mi.us -U isreg -P xxxxx, we get a (502) Bad Gateway error. This is a Vista Business 32 bit OS, and we use a PAC file in the browser (with both http://zen2.kellogg.cc.mi.us and https://zen2.kellogg.cc.mi.us excluded). We also added and exclusion via netsh winhttp proxy in Vista. The DNS name is being resolved (proven by running nslookup), but it appears that the registration process is trying to go through our proxy server, and not making a direct call.

My question is this: 1) is there a way to register the client via IP and tell it to ignore certificate errors or 2) is there a way to register the client via fully qualified domain name and NOT go through proxy?

Thank you!!
