We are installing a ZCM 10 system in our district. We are installing 2 servers, one to run ZCM 10 and another to run the database in the central office. We will then install primary servers at different sites in our network. We are using a golden image with the agent install running after sysprep finishes. When the agent installs it registers with the Central office server. Should we get the agent installer from the server local to the clients and have it register with it, or will it be okay to have all machines register with the Central office server. We are piloting this at about 4 schools, resulting in about 2000 devices. If we go full on we could be looking at upwards of 10000 devices and I think that exceeds the number of devices one server can handle.
