LS.
We have recently updated a Novell server 6.5 from sp6 to SP7. Server has
1.5Gb RAM.
On the Netware Server Arcserve version 11.1 sp3 is running. Now we are
confronted within the arcserve log (during backup process) with following
message:

"Jul-28 03:32:18 E0007 Server is low on memory. Cannot start jobs until
memory is restored."
"Jul-28 03:33:39 Server memory has been restored. Jobs will now be
processed."

The backupjob is finished, but then much later. Now in BTI.CFG we have the
following:
[MicroKernel]
MaxFiles=250
MaxCursors=200
BalancedTrees=NO
ForceFileVersion=0700
SystemData=YES
MaxDatabases=10
Logging=NO
CacheSize=131072
CompressedBufferSize=5
ExtendedBufferSize=16
MergeSortBufferSize=0
MaxRecSize=16
CachePartitioning=NO
TransDurability=YES
TransLogBufferSize=1024
TransLogFileSize=1024
SysTransBundleLimit=65535
SysTransTimeLimit=10000
MaxClients=120
BackgroundThreads=25
WaitLockTimeout=30

[Btrieve Communications Manager]
MaxWorkerThreads=25
MaxRecSize=65116
MaxClients=120
MaxReceivePacketSize=1500

I also found Document "Memory Fragmentation Issue with NetWare 6.0 and 6.5.
TID 3920657)"
What is best to adjust the BTI.CFG first (but what) or perform the
suggestions in the Novell TID?

Regards,

Dirk
