I have a Novell Netware 6.5 sp6 running dhcpsrvr.nlm 3.14. All of a sudden
most of the permanent ip addresses are now set to expire on Wednesday
December 31, 1969. I think this is causing the workstations to constantly
try to renew there ip addresses and dropping there connection. I've tried
ipconfig /release all and then ipconfig /renew, but when you do an ipconfig
/all it still says it expires in 1969. I've found that by changing the lease
expiration option from permanent to time and then setting a long expire time
gets around the problem. Just wondering if there is a more permanent fix?
All the workstations are windows xp sp3 running the nwclient 4.91 sp4.
