My computer is on a network. I have drives F, G, and H mapped. I plug in a USB drive that my computer hasn't seen before, and Windows decides that drive G is perfect for it.

What the photon!?! Is it really that hard for Windows to figure out that I already HAVE something sitting on that drive letter. I mean, REALLY!?! Is it!?!

C'mon, Microsoft! Get your <expletive deleted> together!! I shouldn't have to talk (l)users through something that's seemingly this easy.
