I am fighting with a SLP issue that surfaced when trying to setup backups
on GW. The backup program couldn't find the smdr service on the new
server. Some SLP investigation has shown that server that is supposed to
be the DA has 2 nics one for data network and one for SAN network. Well
SLP is latching onto the SAN network which is seperate from the rest of
the network. This is causing all sorts of weird SLP lookup issues.

the data IP is
the SAN IP is

doing slptool findsrvs service returns directory-agent=

checking slpd.conf shows these config options:

net.slp.DAAddressees =
net.slp.isDA = true
net.slp.interfaces -

why is it binding to and how do I force it to change?
