Hi all, a couple of queries relating to the same problem.

Have a NetWare 6 box running BM37sp2, and I'm trying to add exceptions
to
allow FTP.

There are 2 NIC's, one public one private.

1. From what I can gather the only way I can enable the exception
globally
is to enable static/dynamic NAT. All the TIDs point to this, is this
true?

2. I can load the exceptions successfully by enabling static and
dynamic
NAT. However once I do this the workstations (Win2K and XP) are able
to
bypass the proxy server for web access (ie if you uncheck proxy server
in
IE, or even not log in you can browse the web). If I enable static
NAT,
users have to log in to access the web (desired result) but I can't
get the
filter exceptions working for every workstation, ie requires a static
NAT
entry.

Can anyone give me a reason why enabling static and dynamic NAT allows
users
to bypass the BM box? It is still the only way out (is default
gateway) but
they don't have to authenticate.

Thanks

Dean
