After encrypting one of the volumes on a Netware 6.5 SP3 server, we're experiencing high CPU utilization and high current disk requests when reading/writing large files (1GB+). It's an older server, so we will replace it in the coming months. In the meantime, does anyone have any suggestions that might improve our performance?

We're running Netware 6.5 SP3 on a Proliant ML370 G4 with two Xeon 3.4GHz processors and 8GB of memory. All the volumes are NSS. We have two NSS encrypted volumes, both of which are about 800GB in size. We didn't see any performance problems until we encrypted the second volume. Reading and writing files to the unencrypted SYS volume does not cause high utilization, so I suspect having two encrypted volumes is what's causing our performance problems.

CPU hyperthreading is disabled and we've used memcalc and seg.nlm to tune our memory settings.

I've attached a config file in case it's helpful.

Thanks for your help,
