I've just notcied that some of our servers seem to have started creating
random empty folders in the root of sys, these folders are named with random
mostly non-english characters.

The odd thing is that they all appear to be name space dos, and created on
different dates, and appear to be empty.

I could believe that this where a possible disk failing if it where just one
server but several at the same timne seems unlikley.

The other thing that I have noticed in the error log is that I am getting
messages about the cache allocator running out of memory like this :

18-07-2009 4:04:58 am: SERVER-5.70-3707
Severity = 3 Locus = 17 Class = 21
Server logical address space is running low. Increase the available
logical space by restarting the server with the -u671252480 switch

Incidentally is there a comprehansive list of server.exe command line
parameters, I found a couple of lists but neither documented the -u switch.

Other things to note, all of our servers are running symantec anti-virus
clients doing on access scanning.
