I run a small network and need a little help understandng something
about NAT. I thought i had a little understanding about it but need
some clarification. I have a guy in the office that wants to leave open
the ports for a VNC connection and I really don't want to do that. The
question I have is this...If I use NAT to his workstation only for the
ports that are required for VNC, can someone exploit those ports and get
to his machine and take control?? He says No and I think that's wrong.
I just want to make sure that things are secure. I am running
BM3.8 on a Netware 6 box. I currently use nat from the public side to
the private side. If anyone can help me clear this issue up I would be
most greatful. Thank you.
