Have updated about a dozen servers from NW65SP7 to SP8 over the last two weeks. Since then I have had multiple servers abend with the following:

Date of ABEND: Tuesday, 29 September 2009 10:33:09.576 pm
ABEND Reason: Abend 1 on P01: Server-5.70.08-0: Bad Resource Tag passed to LSLReturnRcvECB
Running process: Interrupt service routine (nested count 1)
Interrupted process: Processor 1: IDLE Thread Process
Thread Owned by NLM: SERVER.NLM
Stack: --8985360D (LSL.NLM|MLIDPhysicalBoardTable+E85)
898478B2 (LSL.NLM|CLSLReturnRcvECB+E)
--00000086 (LOADER.NLM|KernelAddressSpace+86)
Additional Information: The NetWare OS detected a problem with the system while executing a process owned by LSL.NLM
It may be the source of the problem or there may have been a memory corruption.

I have found the TCP update 681k (for NW65SP7) that lists in its fixes:

- ABEND 'Bad Resource Tag passed to LSLReturnRcvECB' (336014)

Can anyone confirm that the fixes included in this patch have been added to SP8?

I have noticed that the date modified on the BSDSOCK and TCPIP.nlm are later than what I have installed under SP8. The NLM versions I have are as follows:

BSDSOCK.nlm - Version 6.82 November 20, 2007
TCP.nlm - Version 6.82.04 September 30, 2008
TCPIP.nlm - Version 6.82 November 20, 2007

Could someone that has installed TCP681k please confirm version numbers of those files?

Note, I will also look into updating the BX2 lan drivers in an attempt to get some stability back. The broadcom site has a 5.0.1 driver available (currently at 4.42 with the SP8 update). Anyone care to share any good/bad/indifferent observations on the updated driver?

Many thanks.
