Yesterday we had one drive in our SYS volume RAID 1 mirror fail. Long story short, as the failed drive was being replaced and added back to the mirrow something was done wrong and the other good drive was also cleared, the OS will not boot now. All attempts to boot the OS have failed.

We even tried putting the failed drive back in, it starts to boot but before it's totally up it deactibvates the SYS volume because of data corruption and ends up at a colon (:) prompt, and no commands run from here.

We have backups of the user data (not the SYS volume) so we're prepared to recreate the server. My question is, where do I find the proper procedure for rebuilding the server and have it assume the identity of the original?

Thanks very much for the help.
