We have an NSBS 6.0 system with a separate server using the second
license to run Bordermanager 3.6.

We download our website log files from our ISP on a daily basis and
use a
programme called Analog to analyze them. Analog is run from a Client
Workstation (we use Windows NT workstations and the 4.83 Novell
Client) in
an MS-DOS window.

Currently I cannot ping external IP addresses from the DOS window on
workstation and this means that the Analog programme cannot perform
Lookups to resolve the IP addresses contained in the website log

Just wondering what adjustments or filter exceptions are required in
to permit DNS lookups from a DOS Window?

Many thanks in advance.
