We are testing an install of GroupWise 8 sp1 on a Windows 2003 r2 sp2 server
with eDirectory 8.8.5 installed locally on the same server. We can
connect/authenticate ok to eDirectory locally and from remote workstations
with client , C1, iManager etc.

When we attempt a local install of GW on the server it fails at the
eDirectory authentication. We have tried the IP address, DNS name in the
server field and various forms of name and context without success, although
we can browse for the context ok. WireShark shows during both local and
remote attempts that NCP communication is initiated but then disconnects
from the target server.

Is SLP mandatory with eDirectory on Windows for this to work?
