I'm trying to allow a linux box to connect to an external ftp site.
I can connect and login ok, but if I issue a ls or dir command, it
hangs for a very, very long time before returning, "421 service not
available. Remote server has closed the connection. Passive mode

I've tried a wide variety of FTP sites, static and dynamic NAT,
TID10014898, Stateful filters for ALL IP types, non-stateful filter to

allow ALL packets in both directions. The only thing that works is
completely unloading fltsrv, but this is obviously unacceptible.

Is there any way to safely get my linux box to connect to an externalftp site?
