    Where can I get nwadmin32?

We are still running one NW 6 SP5 server that hosts our NDPS printers. We need to modify the device settings of one of our printers. I understand that I will need nwadmin32. If that is correct, where can I download nwadmin32 from?

    Thanks in advance

Go to the Novell Downloads page (download.novell.com), and do an advanced search for a file named NWADMN519F.EXE. Once it's located, you'll need to login to actually get it. It's about 3MB in size and dated 23 May 2001

Novell has a new enhancement request system,
or what is now known as the requirement portal.
If customers would like to give input in the upcoming
releases of Novell products then they should go to
    http://www.novell.com/rms

Yes, found it - NWADMN32 (not nwadmin32) - in there. Thanks Anders.

Re: Where can I get nwadmin32?

Well, while your message has already been replied to, let me just add a
    few comments:

    1) "Officially", iManager is used to manage NDPS on NW 6.0, even though
NWADMN32 is certaily the better option.

    2) To manage NDPS from NWADMN32, the NPDS plugins are needed. These should
be available when running NWADMN32 from a server on which NDPS is
installed (by following Anders' advice). However if you download NWADMN32
separately and just install it on a workstation, you won't be able to
manage NDPS and the NDPS plugins are not downloadable separately.

    3) When you talk about "device settings", what kind of settings are you
referring to? You should be aware that in NDPS, you cannot configure
driver options (like paper type, printer featzres etc.). NDPS will just
install the driver with whatever options are the default for that driver.
The ability to distribute the settings along with the driver is only
available in iPrint on NetWare 6.5 or OES2.

    Hi Marcel

Thanks for your additional comments. Indeed I was trying to set device settings like duplex and extra paper trays but indeed they are nowhere to be seen when using NWADMN32.

For our users who don't have admin rights on their WinXP machines, the options on the Device Settings tab of the printer's Properties is all greyed out. Any idea how to enable them?

    Cheers, Tomi

Re: Where can I get nwadmin32?

Thanks Marcel. That's no quick fix though. I think we'll stick to logging into the workstation (max 120) as admin and changing the printer device settings. These will then be available to the user (without admin rights) when they log in. Log term fix, mirgation to WS2008.

    Cheers Tomi
