We have a NW65SP8 RAID5 file server that is running out of storage (standard NSS). I anticipate migrating to SUSE OES next year. My question is should I :-
1. Add a drive to my RAID5 for additional storage - OR
2. Use this as an opportunity to divorce the data from the server and setup a NAS that will make data available to the current NW65 system and also to the SUSE system when the time comes. Would future server upgrades and updates not be simplified by not having the data involved in the process?
Thanks for your advice.
