Sensationalized subject line. :P

I was thinking yesterday while I was waiting for the bird to cook that
every successful Linux install, regardless of distribution, is a win for
Linux as a whole. I say successful because obviously any install that
doesn't work and causes the end user to not use Linux isn't a win. :P

Every small install (dns, dhcp, web server) that Linux has adds up in
numbers and makes it a more viable option to develop for. As the
application pool grows the more mainstream Linux becomes. This is
finally a positive catch-22.

Aside from the truly crappy distributions that just don't work every
Linux install is good. We all like different distribution for different
reasons, but for those of us who would like to see Linux one day replace
Windows on the desktop and server let us be thankful for all Linux
