Im trying to fault find a problem with GroupWise 8.0.1 running on a windows platform, the Windows Server is running W2K3 R2 with no other resources/services under an VMWare ESX environment.

Every morning around 5 AM the MTA service quits unexpectedly according to the event viewer > System
The BRSARDOM MTA service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s).

Event Viewer > Applications
Faulting application gwmta.exe, version, faulting module unknown, version, fault address 0x00000000.

I have seen this reported on GW7 within threads on this forum, the fix was to update to the latest patch but we cannot do this as we are on the latest at present.

At first I thought it maybe DEP but have now disabled this completey on the server by removing from boot.ini file at startup up.

The poa runs fine throughout the day, uninterupted.

Has anyone got any ideas why this might be failing at 5am, it happens everytime even if I wind back the servers time etc.

I appear not to have the problem on a similar server running 8.0.0hp2, I dont ideally want to back rev a POA/agent as Im not sure as to what effect it may have on GW, so some guidance would be useful.
