I am trying to setup email server behind a BM 3.7 server using NAT. I
setup the BM server according to Craig's book (Beginner's Guide to Config
Filter Exceptions). Used dynamic and static NAT with a secondary IP
address paired to the private address, then used the POP3 and SMTP filter
exceptions using the private IP address (I think this is all correct).
My question is we are currently using an external source for email and
the email consultant setting this new system up says I should be able to
test to make sure my filter exceptions, etc. are setup correctly by doing
a telnet from the public side to my secondary IP address port 25, is this
true? IF so can I do this from the private side too?

Thanks for your help,
