When the HP UPD (5.0) is associated with an iPrint agent and installed on our workstations, an error appears stating:

Error message: The remote procedure call failed
Error group : Windows
Error code : 1726

After this, restarting the print spooler service allows the printer to work as it should.
The system event log shows multiple occurrences of:
"DCOM was unable to communicate with the computer **iprint_server_name** using any of the configured protocols."
Prior to the print spooler crashing.
Have tried uploading the driver to our broker using the raw download from HP and also files extracted by the Printer Driver Generator, but behaviour is the same.
We have XP SP2 and XP SP3 machines, iPrint Client 5.32 and NW 6.5 SP8 (with latest iPrint patches).
Is there a means of allowing the driver to be cleanly installed on an XP workstation?
