Not sure if this is really the correct forum, but close enough...having migrated users from AD to eDir/OES/Novell Client environment, I am wondering about permissions on Windows/AD vs rights in OES file system.

Specifically, in certain folders under the AD system, users had permissions to create and modify their own files/folders and only to *read* files/folders not created/owned by them.

There does not seem any such equivalent in the OES rights model. In order to create new files in a folder, users must have the rights to do so at some parent folder level...which also gives them the rights to modify others' files. There does not seem any way to fine-tune rights depending on "creator/owner". Unless I am missing something obvious...any hints appreciated.
