We are moving to Google Apps and I need to make sure urls such as email.my.org and calendar.my.org lookup properly from the desktops.

Since we have private my.org on the inside and public my.org on the Internet, I have been in the practice of setting up A records inside to point to the IP of the desired host out there in public.

In this case, I want Google's load-balancers to do the work. I want to use a cname record.

I set up a calendar --> ghs.google.com in my.domain

I restarted DNS. Nslookup of calendar.my.org fails, no such host.

What am I missing?
