Windows 7 (also 2008 R2 x64), on a NetWare (NCP, 6.5SP8 and other SPs) volume, the command -

mkdir a\b

fails ("The system cannot find the file specified") whereas it works fine on the same server on XP with client 4.91SP5.

It's unlikely I would have hit this mkdir issue, but the main problem I'm having is Windows (via ZENworks) is attempting to auto-create a subdirectory tree in my roaming profile when I log out, failing, and causing the profile to become corrupt. Because of this I'm not sure why nobody else (in this or the ZEN forum, or as far as I can tell in any TID) is having this problem, but if I just have a setting wrong I'd love to know what it is.
