About 15 years ago when I bought my first PC it had a Seagate drive. After a while the drive failed and I lost all my data, I told myself never again a Seagate drive.

14 years later I bought my current computer I decided to go with Seagate again (stupid me), I even bought 2 of them 500GB. I configured RAID0 and everything was nice until one day months ago, one drive failed loosing everything again .

Threw out the failed drive and installed everything again on the working Seagate drive.

Guess what, a couple weeks ago that drive died, all data lost again

Started googling and found out that this is a known issue and many people have had the same problem, seems to be a firmware issue.

Contacted Seagate support and they offered free data recovery which was nice.. So on Monday I will submit a ticket with seagate for data recovery, I really hope everything will work out smoothly.
