I try and keep a simple record of patches applied, etc. locally on our oes2 servers.
Ideally I list the patches into a file with the date, etc.
However, when I redirect into a file the patches from the oes channel are missing from the file!

i.e.
sblx-1:~ # rug lu -t patch

Catalog | Name | Version | Category | Status
-------------------+------------------------------------------+---------+-------------+-------
OES2-SP2-Updates | oes2sp2-March-2010-Scheduled-Maintenance | 6898-0 | recommended | Needed
SLES10-SP3-Updates | slesp3-openssl | 6944-0 | security | Needed

sblx-1:~ # rug lu -t patch > ruglu-1Apr10
sblx-1:~ # cat ruglu-1Apr10

Catalog | Name | Version | Category | Status
-------------------+----------------+---------+----------+-------
SLES10-SP3-Updates | slesp3-openssl | 6944-0 | security | Needed

sblx-1:~ #

Not a massive deal, but a little weird and frustrating...
Anyone got any ideas or alternative suggestions?

Thanks

David
