Our district has recently purchased 6 new servers, two Equal Logic SANs and Vspere. The current goal is to run Vsphere on 3 of the physical servers with the location of the VMs on the Equal Logic. The second goal is to host data storage on the same Equal Logic (different volume, of course) and apply NSS clustering across the 3 other physical servers. The questions is, which would y'all recommend, staying with 3 physical servers attached to one SAN for NSS clustering or virtualizing OES inside of Vsphere attaching via iSCSI and still do NSS Clustering or simply create one OES virtually and attach the NSS volume as if it is a second physical disk?

By the way, the second Equal Logic would sit off site for data replication in the event of a disaster recovery.
