I am needing some help on what is causing Backup exec to not work.
We were running Netware 6.5 SP7 with Backup version 9.10.1158 and things were running great. From recommendation from Novell Support they wanted me to upgrade to SP8. Since then Backup exec has not worked. I don't have it automatically starting in the autoexec, but when I type it in manually I get a Surescipt box and eventually it will say Error 1004: A timeout occurred waiting for NDMPD.NLM to initialize. I type bestop and tried typing bestart !X only to have our server freeze up on us. Users couldn't log in or those that were logged in couldn't access files on the server or e-mail. I also couldn't type down from the console so had to hold the power button in.
I've upgraded to Backup exec 9.2 and still get the same thing.

Here is what is contained in startup.ncf
LOAD ACPIDRV.PSM
######## End PSM Drivers ########
LOAD CPQSHD.CDM
LOAD IDECD.CDM
LOAD NWASPI.CDM
######## End CDM Drivers ########
LOAD ADPT160M.HAM SLOT=10004
LOAD ADPT160M.HAM SLOT=10005
LOAD IDEATA.HAM SLOT=10010
LOAD CPQRAID.HAM SLOT=1
####### End HAM Drivers ########

Here is bestart.ncf

SEARCH ADD SYS:\BKUPEXEC\NLMS
LOAD SYS:\BKUPEXEC\NLMS\BECDM.CDM
LOAD SYS:\BKUPEXEC\NLMS\BKUPEXEC.NLM -tl -aa -dy -tc -tj -s %1 %2

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
