I've been planning to retire my first primary server for a while now. I moved my embedded database to a stand alone install of the OEM Sybase package back in December and things have been a little slow but stable for the most part. I've since built 2 new ZEN servers and all seems to be working.

So, I'm getting to the point in the process to retire the first primary server. However, when I do the zman command to retire it, I get an error message telling me that I cannot retire a database server. I've checked and the db service is disabled and the old db that is on the machine has not been written to so the system seems to be confused.

What should I do next to convince the original primary that it's not a database server for ZEN?
