Well, Comcast finally removed the TCM and AMC movie channels from their
analog cable service, so my Mom and Dad called to have me connect the new
digital transport adapters to their television sets.

Wow! The new picture quality is TERRIBLE on their 52" Sony. It looks like
I'm watching Hulu on a laptop.

The previous analog quality was terrific, but now the digitally-transported
picture is really poor. It looks fine on their 14" set, though. Clearly,
the resolution is too low for the 52" set.

Has anyone else had this experience? Were you able to resolve it without
buying the HD package? Is this just a trick to force them onto the HD

Please don't suggest FDISK, as I've already checked, and there is no disk.
