I've attached a screenshot of an error that I'm receiving when trying
to
perform Windows Updates. The user is on a Windows 98 workstation and
has
the local proxy server set in the browser. After scanning for updates
and
clicking on "Review and Install Updates", it then displays Bad
Request. If
the proxy settings in the browser are set for a parent proxy server,
there
are no problems. Most of our remote sites are setup as Cache
Hierarchy
clients to our centralized proxy servers. I cleared the proxy cache,
but my
experience has been as soon as you delete the proxyhosts file (DNS
cache),
it comes right back. So what I normally do is restart the server
without
the loading of BM, delete the proxy hosts file, and then load proxy
-cc. I
don't have an option to restart the server at this time, but perhaps
someone
may have some suggestions or have experienced the same problem.
