Apparently this is never done, but I have a case for freeing up some linux partition space from an NSS volume in order to do some ZENworks imaging of workstations.

I have a OES 2 server that has only 7% utilization on an NSS volume used for local file sharing. I would like to reduce the size of that volume in order to surrender some disk space back to linux storage.

I built the server with EVMS partitioning in order to accomodate the NSS volume on the same physical drive(s - actually a RAID 1 2pd). Of course the OES2 documentation on NSS Storage management says nothing about shrinking a pool or volume. They only grow ;-)

We all know this to be true.
