I've got a problem with two NW6.5SP8 servers, very similar to the one posted by 'Guest' on 19 Dec 2007.

The servers have been virtualised recently, and the problem existed prior to this, so I think I can rule out anything to do with ESX.

Both servers' main roles in life is backup staging. Data is copied from our production servers to them with TaskMaster, and they replicated between themselves in the same way. SyncSort BackupExpress is then used to back them up through TSAFS/TSANDS. They have a read-only replica of the DS on them. One of them runs ZenWorks imaging/workstation services.

I'm seeing memory allocation errors on the servers of both consoles such as:

2-06-2010 7:30:11 am: SERVER-5.70-0 [nmID=6001D]
Cache memory allocator out of available memory.

2-06-2010 7:30:11 am: SERVER-5.70-0 [nmID=2000A]
Short term memory allocator is out of memory.
1998 attempts to get more memory failed.
request size in bytes 632832 from Module NWPA.NLM

The latest TSAUP has been applied, but I can't really think of anything else to try. I suspect it's related to TSA or the TaskMaster stuff, as another SP8 server dedicated to printing has no such issues.

Can anyone help?
