    SR System down again

    Getting iChain 504 Gateway timeout
    lost connection to origin web server

    when trying to access the eService (SR system) again

    It is (or was) down again today. 504 Gateway Time-Out. Please, this is ridiculous. Fix the system.

    It's been happening again today as you saw. Sorry. It's being worked internally to fix asap.

    when you hit F5, does it come up? I've been on the site all morning, (in the past) I have seen only on the rarest of occasions that the support site doesn't come up, and usually hitting refresh brings it up immediately. Let us know if refresh works or not for you.

    It finally came back around 11:00 a.m. eastern time or so.

    The 503 gateway errors are iChain (Novell doesn't even use their own NAM stuff for customer facing things yet).

    My guess is that the origin web server crashes a lot (or else there's a network problem).

    Refreshing makes no difference.

    It's just a bit frustrating when you need to get into the system and you cant' for several hours, not to mention it just looks bad that Novell can't keep their own SR system up and stable.

    Novell upgraded our main routers over the weekend and it wasn't until this morning that it was found that the eService system didn't get brought up correctly. Thus some users had issues getting in.

    I'm told this is now all resolved. Please call your local Support number asap and let us know if you experience this again.

    And again it's down.

    This is becoming a weekly occurrence almost.

    I know you can't control the internal tech support but seriously this makes Novell look bad, not to mention it's frustrating for those of us that rely heavily on the SR system.
