I am in the same boat as many it would seem and I am trying to figure this out. I have tried to follow the instructions at Novell Documentation

However when the system reboots I am left at the prompt with it stating that CTRL-D is the only thing that will reboot the system, and I am asked to provide the ROOT login to the system.

I have disabled both the boot.lvm and the boot.md and enabled the boot.evms

However when the system comes back up I get the above message about the system being able to only be rebooted with the CTRL-D and the text based login for root.

Is there anything that needs to be changed in the boot/grub/menu.lst or did I miss something else. This is not mission critical (i.e not going to be spending 800 dollars on a tech call but would like to know what I am missing)
