Hi,
need some clarification on somethings. We have an existing tree designed like this:

-T = OURTREE
----o = ourorg
-------ou = location
---------- ou = applications
---------- ou = groups
---------- ou = groupwise
---------- ou = policies
---------- ou = printers
---------- ou = servers
---------- ou = templates
---------- ou = users

Going through the documentation I understand that I should use named-mapped-mode, right?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

From documentation:
1.The container in which you are installing DSfW must be partitioned.

2. Ensure that the domain name that you are creating is same as the partition name.

I'm not sure what #1 and #2 means, can someone clarify?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

All our users are located under ou=users,ou=location,o=ourorg except admin which is located directly under o=ourorg.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

From documentation:

When you are installing DSfW, it creates few default containers. Make sure that the following container names do not already exist under the domain partition:

cn=Computers
cn=Users
ou=Domain Controllers
cn=DefaultMigrationContainer
cn=Deleted Objects
cn=ForeignSecurityPrincipals
cn=Infrastructure
cn=LostAndFound
cn=NTDS Quotas
cn=Program Data
cn=System
cn=Container

Where should be the best place for my domain partition to be able to have all my users log into DSfW joined workstations?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Any caveats in all the above?

Thanks,

Thomas
