another letter - A4 problem....

SLED desktops get Iprint printers, in the ppd file there is a "*DefaultPageSize: A4" that is used by cups to set the defaults. these ppd files are in /etc/cups/ppd

when you run the groupwise client (801) it creates a .novell/groupwise/username folder in the users homedirectory. there is a file called printing.properties using
for letter
Code:
printing.page_format.height=279.4
printing.page_format.image_height=228.6
printing.page_format.image_width=165.1
printing.page_format.image_x=25.4
printing.page_format.image_y=25.4
printing.page_format.orientation=3
printing.page_format.width=215.9
or when changing the print options inside the gw client to A4:
Code:
printing.page_format.height=297.0
printing.page_format.image_height=246.2
printing.page_format.image_width=159.2
printing.page_format.image_x=25.4
printing.page_format.image_y=25.4
printing.page_format.orientation=3
printing.page_format.width=210.0

please help me
  1. why doesn't it look at cups?
  2. why doesn't it look at /etc/papersize?
  3. where is the setting for all users
  4. where is the setting for the postoffice
  5. is the papersize setting also stored in the GW database or is it only in the users (linux)homedirectory
  6. how do i change it for all users already having a .novell/groupwise folder
  7. how do i change this for all users not yet logged in?

there is ZLM to distribute creative scripts, but sed shouldn't be the way for a corporate email system
