The environment is a 6 node NW 6.5 sp8 cluster with 5k odd users and multiple resources with a large number of file systems acls/groups etc.

We are experiencing quite poor performance at the moment - especially loading lotus notes 8.51 - which has quite a number of smallish files that need to be loaded/synched with the Notes server. This has been associated with installation of cifs and high cpu utilisation of the edirectory replica master server (which happens to be a Virtual machine - but lets leave that out at the moment).

I am looking for feedback on the authcachesize parameter for NSS especially in a clustered environment.

I suppose specifically whether it can help an environment where the edirectory master replica server is hitting high cpu utilisation rates.

Comments on whether a complex groups/rights/acl environment will impact edirectory performance would be appreciated as well.
