I have been trying to restore some messages for a particular user, and
have been running into some problems. I have done this without problems
in the past, but this is the first time trying on 8.0.2 (past restores
were on 8.0). Our GW servers are running on Linux (OES2 to be precise).

The steps that have worked before are:
I bring up the GW backup on another OES2 Linux server. Using ncpmount, I
mount that restore area to a folder on the production GW server. I
create a "Restore Area" in C1 using \\restoreserver\vol1\grpwise\poa as
the UNC path and /mnt/restoreserver/VOL1/grepwise/poa as the Linux path,
and I add the users I want to be able to restore as members of that
"Restore Area".

Then I go to the user's computer that I want to restore. I would attach
to the restoreserver as admin (it's in a different tree), and then open
GW. In the past I could just go to "File / Open Backup" and pick
messages to restore without problems.

Now, when I go to "Open Backup" I get an 8219 error, even though I have
the server folder open in Explorer. When I click "OK", to confirm the
path, the backup opens, but it only shows messages back a few weeks. In
one case only back as far as 7/19/2010.

Any ideas what I can try?
