Hi Folks,

Recently our iprint server stopped printing and CPU went to 100%. Printer agents were coming up as not-bound

We rebooted the server and the same scenario.

Top showed that ipsmd and iprintgw were using about 45% each. After some troubleshooting we discovered three corrupt printer agents. After deleting these and rebooting the server we found that the CPU was still at 100% but the printers remained connected and users are able to print.

Top shows that only ipsmd is hogging the processor now.

Ive checked the iprint logs, they all look OK, except iprintgw.log keeps getting these errors.

Aug 18 12:00:54 WARNING Malformed alert response, alertPtr->severity: 0

Any one have any ideas?
