    Macbook Pro SSD installation

I just completed the upgrade of my Macbook Pro with a 240GB SSD. There were only 29 screws to remove (and replace) in the process. For anyone interested in the gory details, here you go:

I was able to install OS X on the drive prior to taking the computer apart, and booting from the USB enclosure that I had the new drive in. I decided not to just "clone it" because this gives me the opportunity to clean a few things up. I will restore from the Time Machine backup things that are important!

It's so quiet that I was worried it wasn't on a few minutes ago.

Ive had a few macbook's apart. Always a good time. Lots of 'dammits' in
there that always seem to escape. My new Macbook Pro 13" is nice, half a
dozen screws on the bottom and then pull the drive. No spelunking or
    screw chart required.

I think I heard dzanre say something like:

I'm extremely pleased w/ the performance of my laptop since I put the

The PC's I am deploying in the office all have SSD's.
Brilliantly fast and quiet. Hopefully will be robust
    and long lived...time will tell.

Yeah - it will be interesting to see how it all works out over time!
