We recently re-imaged a group of WSs at an Elementary school. For unknown reason(s), after imaging, all the client's TCP/IP settings included a Static DNS server...which we don't use here...

The settings page where this shows is found on XP Workstations here:

Start>Control Panel>Network Connections>Local Network Connection 2>Properties>Internet Protocol(TCP/IP)

The setting in error is at the bottom of the dialog box and where our standard WSs are set to: "Obtain DNS server address manually" I am finding it set to "Use the follow DNS server addresses" and one of the site's standard DNS servers, but not our secondary...

We are using the ZenWorks 10 imaging disk ....
We use static DNS ONLY when we also set the address to be statically assigned. We have never selected the hybrid (DHCP provided address, DNS static) to my knowledge.

Please advise,

John S
