Is there any way to limit data transfer per connection at any one time? I have some user space restrictions and quotas set, but I need something that's dynamic. Every once in awhile, someone will randomly and (often) unnecessarily transfer a large amount of data from their desktop to a home or project directory. I want to set a threshold for the amount sent from an IP or connection at one time and get an admin message. I've been searching through linux monitoring tools, but I haven't seen anything yet for this kind of thing. Thanks.
